🏡 Why This Project Matters
As the Olalla Grange steps into a new chapter—hosting more events, classes, and gatherings—it’s time the outside of our beloved Grange reflects all the heart and activity happening inside.
This Spring 2025 two-phase project focuses on cleaning, restoring, and beautifying the Grange’s grounds to create a welcoming, well-maintained space for all to enjoy.
🛠️ Project Phases
Phase 1: Cleaning & Prep (April – Early May)
- Blackberry removal
- Pruning, thinning, general cleanup
- Ground clearing and bark recycling
- Equipment needs: chipper, backhoe, loader
Phase 2: Beautifying the Grounds (Mid-May – July)
- Regular mowing and lawn maintenance
- Planting new shrubs and flowering plants
- Enhancing the beds along the building
- Installing evergreen climbing plants by the entrance
